The Oxford hotel is pleaed to host a fundraising Event for a Sculpture Collective of emerging visual artists. The collective will be providing a surprise installation, and weather permitting we'll be able to party in the backyard. There will be music, munchies, drinks and celebration!

All of that for $10 PWYC.
The collective is made up of: Simon Black, Megan Scott, Kailey Bryan, Rob, Tasha A. Turner, Phoebe Lo, Maggie F, Meiko Maruyama, Alexandra Mainella, Maxine W, Jeanette, Candice Davies and Bender.
All funds collected will be used to support and collective exhibition at the Katherine Mulherin Gallery in downtown Queen West.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2008, The Oxford Hotel had a surprise visit from The Music Tapes (Julian Koster, the singing saw / accordionist from Neutral Milk Hotel)! Julian with his dear friend badger, a singing saw who is eight years old forever, performed chirstmas carols and some songs from his album 'Music Tapes for Clouds and Tornadoes'.

| The Making of "divorce lawyers i shaved my head" |

During December of 2007 Jordaan Mason and the Horses began recording an album called "divorce lawyers i shaved my head" which is about sexual relationships and illness. They were snowed into the oxford hotel during the recording session while friend bryar helped them record. The entire upstairs of the house became a recording studio and everyone was pressing buttons and moving microphones around.

We are a house located in kensington market filled with art and music and stomping and bothering the neighbours. We host art events, including music shows, poetry readings, and art installations on a fairly regular basis. we also have a community garden. this is an all-inclusive friendly space for persons of all gender / orientation / race / species, etc.
